Far From The Madding Crowd

Far From The Madding Crowd is far from one of my favourite books, however Mark Healy’s stage adaptation was rather fun. I played the head farmhand Henery Fray. He has an opinion about everyone and knows everyone’s business. Some of the alehouse scenes with the other farm folk were some of the best fun I have had on stage to date. We also had a lot of fun working on our Dorset accent’s with voice coach Tim Berkit (of CSSD) and oft was heard in the dressing room the call and response of ‘Why are we yokels? Because it’s Oooh we Aaar!’
